More to Come

Well this is the last post for today.  I will be posting more on Saturday as the new Idea Book will start.

There are so many cool things.  I was looking at the Picture My Life kits I ordered.  They made me laugh and smile.  The Babycakes one made me think I should buy more for when I become a grandma. LOL.  It is really cute. The Chantilly is really cute for a girl and the of course Later Sk8r for a boy.

I am still a Classic scrapbooker but because I started when my kids were older I am a little behind and may use these to get caught up some.

I can't wait to share the new product and the new ideas.

Take care everyone and I will post some new and awesome things.

Background Challenge

Well here goes the pattern explanation and hopefully it makes sense.

A customer wanted to know how to do the background for the Later Sk8r page in the SS Idea book for 2013 page 47. I said I don't know and then after club was done proceeded to try to recreate the page. After spending a few days trying to recreate the background I had a brilliant idea (why I didn't have it earlier I am not sure) to contact CTMH and ask them how it was made.  They answered and here what I did using the basic information.

First you need the Cricut cartridge Artiste and turn to page 38. I cut one shift 3D object and I used the 6"size.

You will need the pattern 10, for the size of the photos and basic layout, from Make It from Your Heart book 1.

Then came the trial and error part.  I finally got it the way I wanted it.  I wanted an 11 inch background. So here is what I did.
1st I measured 1/2 inch in on all sides of my white daisy cardstock.  I marked 7/16th on one of the cogs (the cog was about 13/16).  I then started with the pointed end (all markings are on the page) lining the top up with the  line marked on the edge, the line on the cog lined up with the other line and traced around the top and side of the cog. then I moved over 9/16th and traced around the entire cog (always lining the top up as I moved with the 1/2 inch line). I then joined the bottom of both. I then moved over 10/16 from the previous cog and did the same thing tracing and drawing the lines five more times.I drew a straight line as you can see 6/16ths and the adjoining corner is 8/16ths.  I continued around the paper.  When I had it the way I wanted it I then used a black jiffy to draw the dark lines.  I still have to cut it out so I can use it. It really didn't take long once I got going.

Pro Player Pages

Hello Again,
Getting my Pro Player scrapbook on the go done was fun and made me laugh.  My son did not break his arm playing ball. He broke it when we camped at a campground on the way home.  I am sure he would prefer me to not tell the entire world what happened.  It was funny.
Sitting in the hospital in Regina at night was very interesting and kind of scary.  I think it was quite the eye opener for the young man (and me). There are enough police coming and going with customers at that hour so should have felt a little more secure. HaHa.

I am going to also show the card I made using the babycakes paper and other CTMH product and stamp sets.
I can't remember all that I used. As, again, I have misplaced what I wrote down.  I think my room needs some cleaning and organizing. I guess I will do that when my scrapbook is done.

Scrapbook Pages

I have been busy creating with the Later Sk8r scrapbook kit. I finally got around to getting it done.  Club sure gets me moving. I know it was from a previous book but I use it as samples of page patterns.  I still have to journal on my pages. All my children and my now son-in-law were being goofs at the Calgary Zoo. I love going there and so do my children.  We called it Grandma's Zoo as it was named by my little brother (not so little now).

A little assistance please!
Love the Koala bears!

January SOTM Cards

Hello Everyone. I was playing and having fun with the January SOTM.  You can check it out by clicking on the page at the top of the blog.

I played with the  pigment inks and created the background. I have misplaced the paper I wrote it down on as I have been creating a scrapbook.  I used the pink glitter gems and some clear sparkles.  The thinking of you was from the stamp set Card Chatter Sympathy.

I had fun designing the cards and did a couple before these ones but did not like them as much so they will not make it on here or to anyone else for that matter.
I love the little stitched hearts. I love to cross stitch and have not had much time lately.

CTMH Artiste S Fold Cards

I posted this video as it shows the cute cards you can make with the Artiste Cricut cartdrige from CTMH.  As you can tell the stamp set is no longer available.
If you have this cartridge try out these cards.  I am going to.  I will use one of my other stamp sets to make them.
Have fun trying these.
